How to choose your wedding ring?

Wedding rings are highly symbolic pieces of jewelery, and it is likely you will want to wear your ring all the time, and for many years, so it is important to select the style and design of the ring very carefully. The most popular precious metals are platinum, white gold and yellow gold. If you like the look of platinum but cannot afford it then white gold can be polished and brushed to resemble platinum’s ultra modern look.

Yellow gold is the most traditional metal for wedding rings, and remember that the carat designates the purity of the gold. Jewelers often recommend 18ct, which is thought to be a good compromise between luxury and practicality.

When choosing the design of your wedding ring, think about your own personal style. If you are a bold, daring person then there are lots of modern, exciting designs now available. It is still traditional to have matching rings, but you can add your own twists to the design, for example both wedding rings could be the same metal and pattern, but the bride could have the addition of some diamonds or another precious stone.

Who doesn’t want diamonds for wedding times?

One thing you can do is educate yourself about diamonds. If you are in the market for a diamond, don’t let all the industry jargon scare you off. Here’s a little translation on what these terms mean so next time you go into the jewelry store.

1. CUT. Not the shape of the stone, but the quality of its facets.
2. CLARITY. Clarity levels start at Flawless and descend from Very Very Slight (VVS) to   Very Slight (VS) and Slightly Included (SI).
3. CARAT. The weight of a diamond. One carat equals about 200 milligrams.
4. COLOR. Transparent diamonds (those created from 100 percent carbon) are rated on a scale from D (clear) through Z (light yellow).

It is best if you can get some sort of guarantee for your diamond. Hardness is measured by something called the Mohs scale where diamonds have the highest spot at number 10. If you’ve ever wondered what this scale is, here’s the lowdown of each step.

1.Easily scratched by a fingernail.
2. Just scratched by a fingernail.
3. Scratches and is scratched by a copper coin.
4. Not scratched by a copper coin and doesn’t scratch.
5. Just scratches glass and is easily scratched by a knife.
6. Easily scratches glass and is just scratched by a file.
7. Not scratched by a file.
8. Scratched only by corundum and diamond.
9. Will scratch anything but a diamond.
10.Scratched only by another diamond.

At least in my articles, I hope your have the best ring for your soul mate on your wedding.

Jewelry stores establishes a unique relationship between artist and consumer.Wholesale jewelry is capable of producing some beautiful pieces, using many varieties of materials. The internet and other sources give access to a lot of wholesale jewelry companies that can purchase jewelry at very competitive prices. Though, one should be aware that there is a difference between online jewelry stores and online wholesale companies. Online jewelry stores sell jewelry mostly at retail prices, even though the price may be slightly discounted, so caution should be taken. There are other options in purchasing wholesale jewelry

Jewelry stores store are your answer to beautifully crafted jewelry that need not be expensive or beyond what you can afford. While you may not be assured of finding jewelry that has been made from precious gemstones or other types of precious metals, all the same you will find classy and exceptional pieces of jewelry in these wholesale jewelry stores.

jewelry, silver jewelry and ethnic jewelry. Any term that ends with the word “diamond” must be an actual diamond… such as synthetic diamond, man-made diamond, or clarity-enhanced diamond. If a gemstone that just looks like a diamond but it really is something totally different, then the term that must be used is a “diamond simulant” because it simulates a diamond.

The diamond simulants by themselves are fine, actually I’ve seen some terrific pieces of jewelry made with Synthetic Cubic Zirconia or Synthetic Moissanite. Many times the main reason that a diamond simulant can be passed off as a real diamond is because the buyer already has the belief that diamonds are overpriced, are a waste of money, are a rip off, and maybe the buyer really doesn’t want to buy a diamond but needs to buy a diamond… so this leaves the buyer open to a seller who comes along and tells the buyer that a whole bunch of money can be saved by buying what “looks just like the real thing“.

Diamond simulants have their place in the jewelry business. A diamond will always outshine any simulant I’ve ever seen!Only a very few people would be able to tell if a stone was a real diamond or a fake diamond by using these tests!

Diamond inclusions, the fun little things that are included inside of your diamond, are always nice to see. Not only does it give your diamond some character!… it will immediately help identify the stone as being a real diamond So if you need to know if it is a diamond, now look up a good local jewelry store, go visit them and if you ask nicely, they might be able to give you a “real or fake diamond” answer. When you are buying jewelry or gold you are confronted with the word carat or karat.
